Mons Liposculpting is a quick procedure that takes anywhere between 30 to 40 minutes from start to finish and essentially enables a woman to “sculpt” her pubic area as she desires.
Consultation before the surgery is mandatory to analyse the patient to the best of the doctor’s knowledge. There are some basic criteria which can help you decide if you would be benefitted from this procedure.
You would be a suitable candidate if:
It is very common for patients to experience inflammation, mild pain and irritation. Medication can be provided to cope with these symptoms. The entire recovery process normally takes 3 to 4 weeks. This period can vary from one individual to another.
A compression garment should be worn post the surgery for a minimum of 2 weeks (subject to change depending upon the patient) to ensure proper shaping of the mons pubis. Routine work like going to the workplace can be resumed about 1 week after the surgery. A detailed, tailored, set of instructions will be provided to the patient by the doctor to help in speedy recovery.
Each patient recovers and heals differently. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for you to be comfortable with resuming sexual intercourse.
The results of the surgery are best seen usually after 6 weeks.
Just like any other surgical procedure, there are some risks associated with this procedure as well. The chances of risks are low enough that the benefits of the procedure outweigh the risks in the opinion of many.
Complications may include blood loss, infection, excessive inflammation and abnormal vaginal discharge.
